Train leaves from Pville to Cronin to EDH to El Dorado Trail to Pville tomorrow at 3:00pm, Mosquito Lot.
Bring a light or two and some pocket change for one or two of these along the tracks:
Maybe we'll see one of these:
Should be plenty of time for some quality track riding.
Who's going to be there?
ONE + XTERIC = TWO

ReplyDeleteThat biker is totally crushing the train.
Notice how on the last sign the cyclist wrecked so hard his bars twisted upward? Or is the sign more appropriately designed to show the rider using the "bum bars" position?
ReplyDeleteEither way it should become someone's HCF avatar. Newb?
ReplyDeleteGreen Fro sighting just occurred and he indicated a strong maybe. He went on a scouting mission from Pville to Latrobe on the crosser yesterday.
ReplyDeleteDid you ask his time?
DeleteCappy must have a Strava time for it.
Delete2nd Try.
ReplyDeleteFIVE!
Which tool in the quiver? - CX or MTB? Teeth rattle or more calories? I have a nice set of 40c tires on the CX bike.
I like the set of bars in pic #1. Did you guys ever see the story of the guy that drafted the locomotive at 60+ mph back in the heyday of american cycling?
I think I'm going CX due to the long transfer sections. There will be a couple good down hills but nothing like the quality we had last Tuesday. :-)
DeleteI don't need to tell you how sweet riding a MTB through Cronin to Salmon Falls is, NoCar already did. We are riding the Darrington (dirt) trail up as far as possible from Salmon Falls and will maximize dirt in EDH. Having ridden from EDH to Pville on the EDT more than once, I highly recommend a MTB if you have one available. There will be a good section of track riding from White Rock to Latrobe. Riding a cross bike in that section might qualify as type 2 fun, but that is debatable. I highly doubt Green Fro went all the way to White Rock on his crosser.
ReplyDeleteI will re-contemplate my earlier decision. Maybe time to show the Lynskey some love.
DeleteBy the way I just confirmed a beer stop in Shingle Springs at the home of a Trail Advocate that Rock went to High School with.
ReplyDeleteRight On. Big Mike.
DeleteThat's funny, I just confirmed a beer stop in El Dorado.
DeleteAnd Coloma
Delete:)))))
DeleteI think I'll go mtb. if Cap and B are SS then there is no point in drilling the road sections. And at the end of the day having a little squish for the tracks will be worth it. I did prep the crosser in case I change my mind.
ReplyDeleteI am in for 6? , and rolling MTB. Just rode Cronin from SF towards Magnolia. F'n awesome! It's buff, and a cx would be fun, but I prefer my teeth as they are.
ReplyDeleteGreat.fricken.call.out!!!!!
Luv it!
