Two words: single speed.
Should be just enough snow to be interesting. Not enough to bother putting the clip pedals on the mountain bike and riding in hiking boots, but enough that some easier climbs will be walked. Definitely not enough to switch to a Pville steeps ride. Unless one of our reputable locals say otherwise.
ONE
NoCar you don't run this site by yourself, quit trying to be the blog administrator. Jeez man, let someone else post once and a while.
ReplyDeleteNoCar, thanks for being so active on the blog. I apreciate your regular and witty posts. Cappy had all day yesterday to beat you to it.
DeleteGreat post Nocar! Sounds to me like Cappy wants to write up a post ride report and a call out for his Hobo-in ride to catch up on blog posts. Although I'm out for this weekends rides, has there been a count off for the simultaneous rides?

ReplyDelete2. I think today will be a good day for the Old Soldier.
ReplyDeleteSnow was still dumping an hour ago, but looks like it may be melting off a bit now. We'll see what people are made of today.
Shall we assume GreenFro and Unknown Local will be joining us, as they promised last week?
ReplyDeleteHmm, pretty quiet out there. People afraid of the snow?
ReplyDeleteI'll check on the Fro go-no-go
Like most pranks, they are most funny to the one doing the pranking. Looks like I fooled at least two. I laughed my own ass off when I wrote the above HCF comment chiding NoCar. I even added a 'comment removed by author' to add to the drama. I laughed a second time when I received a text from NoCar that read "So post something else."
ReplyDeleteTruth is, I really appreciate and enjoy NoCar's outright domination of the blog. Alas, it is April Fools Day.
3. I look forward to riding with you fools tonight.
I also look forward to NoCar's ride report posting tomorrow.
DeleteNo fool here Cappy, I was playing along with you. But I was expecting a HoBo coopting at some point.
DeleteGreeFro is in, he has a hard stop at 8:30 but is in. I agreed that either we would drop him off at an easy location to find his way home from or I would escort him back. Should not be an issue.
ReplyDeleteSometimes at this point I mention c'man to see if he is sitting on his hands.
ReplyDeleteSometimes at this point I try throwing the option of a ride in Auburn.
ReplyDeleteAt this point it is worthy to mention the texts I am getting of snow removal photos from Lars and notes that read "snow is pretty deep up in Pollywood" from Taco Spawn with concurrence "Yes sir eee" from Buttons.
ReplyDeleteCould this be Green Fro's first snow ride?
ReplyDeleteI added a couple videos to inspire today's Tom Foolery.
ReplyDeleteCan you share the snow removal photos? Maybe a depth report? Six inches?
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fresh storm for ride time
ReplyDeleteMaybe I will ride in hiking boots
ReplyDeleteIs this the point when B chimes in, "Skiing in from Tahoe...?"
ReplyDeleteThe trail conditions on Sunday were extremely wet, and then it hailed on us. I can only imagine what those trails look like after two more solid days of winter precipitation and then todays dumper of a storm...
ReplyDeleteI'm pulling an RF4 tonight: Rick's Foolish Fun Factor Formula. Inputs of conditions, fitness & Wednesday work schedule & other variables equate to a "No Ride" output.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the spring conditions.
this is a test.
