One forgivable reason for absence is if a rider chooses to spend the evening preparing his meat for the Fro Hoe Down.
Currently three are committed to Sunday's ride, and others have made positive noises on the aft channel, though Newb may not bring his meat.
I'm confused about this count on two accounts but I'll try.

Out but I am planning to go purchase a new frame this evening, so at least it's bike related. Can't make the Sunday ride either, so if there is a Ho down, help her up. I might be able to ride with dude on Friday. Maybe that is a good night for a Hobo Ride? Yeah, I just threw that out there.
