Psych!!!! Psssssyyyychhhhh! No pun intended on our great Counselor, as he is greatly missed and on the fringe of 'dearly departed.' I have no info on his whereabouts or potential for attendance this evening, or any other evening for that matter. However, I do know that I will be in attendance, at long last. And with this evening's ride, we shall end an era or a streak that none could be proud of. Soon I will earn my rightful place back on the jersey and (hopefully) near the front of the pack.
When I think of all the FT3's I have missed, I feel a bit like these fella's:

Welcome back, Cap

ReplyDeleteAre you going back to Crabon???
DeleteYes. My drop bar bike, and my incoming hardtail both have an atomic number of 6.
DeleteWell played.
DeleteI see what you did there, Captain; an attempted preemptive deflection of attention to the only pithy member with truancy issues perhaps greater than your own. Well played, you should run for office some day.
ReplyDeleteHolding office isn't what it's cracked up to be. Unless you're a D.C. mayor, and then, well, it's all about the rock!. Counting cobwebs instead of miles these days. Lots of plates in the air. Hope to rejoin before Cap returns to exile himself. Unless his sentence has been commuted...
ReplyDeleteGood point B. A classic redirect strategy that perhaps Councilman can weight in on. Cappy appears to somehow justify that only riding during the dust cycle of ft3 somehow makes up for all the mint condition foreys we have had without him the past few months and that we should be graced by his short term presence in the pack. My suggestion Cappy during your short tenure is to use your political influence on timely knot lot departures.
ReplyDeleteC'mon, Buttons, most weeks we've been rolling out not too much past 7PM! Except last week, that was closer to 8.
DeleteChoose your words wisely when entering into a political debate young Buttons. I can say with great confidence that my long standing membership in FT3 includes numerous presences in the pack, with all time conditions and pithy core attendance far exceeding the numbers you bare on record. Also let it be known that school is out of session on Tuesdays, so my presence this evening and days forward shall be more than fleeting. My documented Tuesday rides go back to 2009 and several pre-date the blog, I believe by definition I am holding tenure.
ReplyDeleteDidn't Spawn say he was going to ride this week?
ReplyDeleteI saw Prepper yesterday, he is still coaching baseball on tuesday nights, but said that will wrap up next week. He also showed enthusiasm for a Father's Day LRP.
ReplyDeleteDebating political theory on election day, too bad we don't have any elected offices in FT3 or we could let Cappy and Buttons mount rival campaigns.
ReplyDeleteNice come back Cappy. As a fare out ranking member than I I know you have more than one leg to stand on or one wheel out of the grave but couldn't help but engage in a little antagonism since I can't be there in person tonight to receive it from you.
ReplyDeletePurely entertainment value Nocar
ReplyDeletewhich pretty much sums up our political establishment.
DeleteI'd like to say it was Constanius III, who saved the Western Empire from the brink of disaster....
DeleteOne thing is for sure, with Cappy back in the fold this week the HCF is 'sploding just like the old days!
ReplyDeleteBy my calculations you have a heavy hand in this particular blog 'splosion.
DeleteOur wee blog is now fast approaching 100K page views.
ReplyDeleteI'm confused. Are Cappy and CMan going to take turns showing up on alternate Tuesdays now? And then Buttons will debate with each of them until next year's kit is produced.
ReplyDeleteButtons are you in? What is the count, what ever it is it is now N+1, same as the number of bikes you need.
ReplyDeleteI'm out as noted in the post ride post. In New Orleans NobTaco Handle and its dirty......
ReplyDeleteNice work Buttons, well past Hurricane hour out there in Nola - is that how the cool cats say it.
DeleteYes along with seafood okra gumbo with a side of crawfish ettoufette for lunch. Contemplating an ice cold hurricane now as I sit in the pool.
DeleteThe HCF to Rider ratio is way too high. FOUR!
ReplyDeleteTomorrow is my last official day at Intel boys. It's been a great ride; straight from college then 28 years.
Congratulations. Now You will have plenty of time for solo breakaways on the HCF.
DeleteRock on Retired Guy (RG)
DeleteI think we are at 5 with NoHandle declaring his number as N+1
ReplyDeleteEating lunch then heading to the beach on the bike. Then to the brewery for an afternoon pint then back to the beach.
ReplyDeleteSee ya next Tuesday
I am riding in spirit.
