Maybe you are thinking that there is too much snow in Pollywood to ride this Tuesday night. You'd be right.
So, no. There will be no FT3.
Correction: there will be snow FT3 . . . FTSki.
That is, there will be at least one rider at the Knot Tuesday night with no bike, but instead a pair of Nordic touring skis (me). Got a free heel? Brung it and run it.
Maybe everyone else will want to actually ride bikes on Tuesday. Folsom road ride? Placerville steeps?
As for me, I'd rather trudge through powder more fit for snowshoes. That and fall down like an idiot a couple dozen times each time the trail turns downhill. Maybe it's foolhardy. Maybe it's sacrilege. But you know it sounds fun . . .
Pretty too:
One.

Pollywood is buried!
ReplyDeleteShould be a good night for skiing. Snow will be super soft after a warm day.
ReplyDeleteI've been texting with Trainwreck and he says the fryer is still down, but they should be open and making burgers. I'm still waiting for a final confirmation. So, Skinny Skis Burger Tuesday. Or Split Board Burger Tuesday? Alpine Touring Burger Tuesday?

ReplyDeleteWonder what the parking situation will look like
ReplyDeleteWho is that guy? Breach of protocol . . .
ReplyDeleteBurgers works!
Update: Fryer guy is coming up from Sac with the last part today. Maybe tacos, but the grill will be on for sure.

ReplyDeleteXT out;
UL IN
Is nocar in? Or as yet noncommittal, owing to the apparent lack of interest? Folsom road ride with Cappy?
DeleteOf course I'm in! Folsom with Cappy, when FT3 is skiing? Heavens no
DeleteI am opting for the road ride in Folsom. If anyone wants to join hit me up. Kudos to PC for jumping back into the fray. By the way Lars has a Fat Bike.
ReplyDeleteI’m out tonight should be saw-weet up there.
ReplyDeleteWell ... Was there skiing, burgers, tacos ...
ReplyDelete3 skiers ventured out the qualifier, found a downhill run to zig-zag, and returned early for tacos, having been warned of a firm 8:30 curfew.

With out you B the FT3 ski mobile outfitter my guess is attendance was slim.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least my outfitting service was used last evening for an evening XC ski at Pattee Canoyon, a local trailhead.
DeleteHome of the Missoula Nordic Ski Club! Was it groomed? Did you equip others from your quiver, as is the Tuesday tradition?
DeleteYes on all counts. Showed someone the ropes on XC skis. Her 2nd time ever. Was my 45th straight day of skiing, haven't stopped since the shutdown, though I am working again, at least for now.
