Breaking News

I was going to post a call out for the ride tonight. It was going to be witty, eloquent, and entertaining. There would be some pictures, and the commentary would contain some reference to an issue of global or national  concern. It would be poignant.

Screw it. I just wanna ride my bike with some good friends.

See you at the Knot. You know the drill. I expect we'll have quite a time tonight . . .

Last Tuesday:
The numbers were thin last week. Spawn was still tired from the Hobo ride, RG was drinking sherry with Peter, Partial Credit was toiling at this week's callout, and Lars remains under house arrest.
The pre-ride prep was leisurely, no rain and balmy temps. A fender proved to be the best layer, as we only got wet from puddles. Until about 8:40, when we crested 8B. In a moment the clouds burst and rain pummeled so hard we could barely see. The trails ran with muddy water and we beat it back for tacos.
Been a flurry of small rides this weekend, I guess everyone is getting ready for the main event: the December 9, 2014 FT3 ride.

NoHandle "You've heard of photo bombing, this is blog bombing"
Sorry to "bomb" your post PC, but while this is not world news, it is pretty fun to drive around - f'ing fast does not describe the speed.

  2. THREE!

I made a LoTB family sighting this week at P'ville Christmas parade. I wonder if he'll break out the kit and join our FT3 parade.

  3. You Counselman is....wait for it.... IN!! IN like In-N-Out burger (Double-Double, animal style), IN like neon spandex in the 80's, IN like the Hampton Inn (but without bed bugs and latent smoke smell), IN(sane) in the membrane...

    Four!

    1. True. After the early enthusiastic start, the countoff stopped rather abruptly. Apparently, part of the pack made a wrong turn, or, more likely, Newb got a flat.

    2. or in Newb's case, both. Thanks for chiming in. We may have to blow this thing up ourselves.

  6. After a 3 month hiatus, and a quiver change, I'm as giddy as a schoolboy on prom night. Is it 5:45 yet?

  7. Its funny. Cappy was the same way when he finally got to come out and play. He kept complaining about how quiet the HCF has gotten. Of course, where is he today?

  8. Out, as in "of town" last trip for a while I hope. Wishing I could be there instead of driving this wicked fast Limited Edition Corvette Stringray around that the car rental company upgraded me to. I had to post a picture of it since NoCar pinged me back channel.

  9. Harr harr, taking wrong turns and flat tires. If only I could only be a little more perfect like the other ft3'ers ...well, at least the ones who show up. Some say the easy route isn't worth taking-that the road less traveled reaps a greater reward. I say take 'em both.

  10. Via the back channel, Xteric is "totally" IN.Which puts our total at half a twelve pack.

  11. Don't know what I am going to ride tonight as all my bikes have flats, and when I went out to fix them I took a wrong turn and ended up at the Cozmic Cafe.

    1. Might be like riding a circus bike, but you could always borrow the Dean. It's setup just the way you like it, SS and rigid fork.
