Solstice Bonfire Call out and it is Tuesday too.

It is that time of year again.
The NoHandle family will be hosting our annual Bonfire again this year.
The event will be this Sat. Dec. 20th starting at Dusk.

All of my FT3'ers are hereby welcome.  We sent out an evite last week but I didn't have everyone one of your email addressees so please accept this as your formal invite.  This year's event is a little diff in that we will not be feeding people.  You are welcome and encouraged to bring a fireside pick-nick dinner and of course as always, bring the following.

  • Your own drinks.
  • A chair
  • Flashlight
  • Event is rain or shine
This is a family event, bring your wife, GF, kides and grandma.

Here is a picutre of Newb last year - what was he all excited about?

And here is a picture of B - I think B and Newb were having a celebrate-off.

I'm Hoping all of you can make it and would love to see some cycle commuters here as well w/their Mrs. driving out for the return trip home.

Oh and Peter stopped by over the weekend and left me with a crappy feeling in my chest so I am on the fence for tonight. I may make a game day decision based on how much I want to get wet and cold.  Damn Peter, hope I can sweep him out of my memory and toughen up by EOD.

.65

  1. Temps hanging at 42F and spitting rain. That's the kind of weather report that sets RG to calling Peter ahead of time to make reservations.
I am IN for tonight and IN for the party.
    TWO!

  2. Apparently, everyone is confused by the countoff, and is afraid to comment. Let me explain. See, HoHandle, being a mathematician, played a little joke. He inserted a rational number in a field where only whole numbers are valid. But, I didn't take the bait and instead correctly interpreted his 0.65 as 1. So, come on now, who is going to be 3?

    1. I would have replied 1.65, that is, IF I were responding that I was "in" shortly after NoHandle's post and before NoCar posted. Alas, I have to wait until next week to get my FT3 on.

  3. Have you ever had your chest felt by Peter? It will make you feel crappy. The only cure is a stiff FT3 ride. The colder and wetter the better.

    1. NoHandle - I am lead to believe that your chest hurts from riding 4 hours then drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes all evening. This is something only the likes of Paul can handle.

  4. I would expect RG to take the bait by now too, it is a perfect day for a RG pre-emptive "out-ing"

    4. Uh hem, I believe I fall in there somewhere with a sprint score as well...

    5. NoHandle make up on the fly rules that said if you did not finish the stage you do not get the sprint points.

I countered with TdF rule book for Green Jersey.

Correction: Cappy won the one sprint he was there for. :-)

  5. This is the first chance I've had to check the blog, 7 hours of meetings today. I did get my lights plugged in and did not bother with shower or shave, so I'm at 0.78 now.

    1. I'm seeing an all too common thread at the company of employ for RG: too many meetings. Is that the sign of too much red tape?

    2. Lot's of green ink. We'll hit $56B in revenue this year and >60% gross margins; most companies would kill for those numbers.

    3. This blog is becoming entirely too professional. BTW last week I was on a plane flying to Riverside for work, unable to post but enjoyed the banter nonetheless.

    1. Newb and I already discussed our plans last night. He will be picking me up. I was going to let him chime in on his own.

    2. You guys have this regular date routine thing these days...

  7. RG - weather is holding off. that should push you to .89
I'm now officially "In" - but NoCar already knew that.

    1. The evening's storm is right off the coast. The Weather service just upped the odds, but lowered the totals.

  10. There is a small chance (.35) I will bring Cappy Junior up for an unprecedented Gen 2 outing and taco session.

    1. We should be done riding and taco eating long before you all finish riding. There shall be no interference of the debauchery of the regular FT3.

  12. Looks like I'll be missing no handle's annual bonfire tonight. I've gotta stick around town as my job has a leash that doesn't let me venture that far. Have fun guys!
