Tuesday News and Call-out

Google recently announced a ban on all 'adult' content on its blogger service, so I'll keep it clean for this post. That means keep the comments clean, too, fellas. No sexual innuendo, no harassing other commenters by referencing their body parts. Let's just be mature about this.

Wait, no - not 'mature'. Damn it, you know what I mean. Crap, I better quit before google deletes the blog.

Alaska just became the third state to legalize recreational pot. I predict an uptick in the already burgeoning sales of fat bikes.

The 1,000-year-old remains of a mummified man were found sealed inside a Buddha statue in the Netherlands. Experts believe he may have undergone a self-mummification process involving eating only nuts and seeds for 3years, bark and roots for 3 years, and then drinking a sort of varnish. Kinda like the mountain cyclist's diet of clif bars and PBR?

And the breaking news: it's Tuesday.

One.

Temps in the forties and clear skies, should be a lovely night for some mountain biking.

  3. Hopefully we can make up for the short ride last week (had to fight to stay upright through the gale force winds) by having a substantially longer ride this week.

    1. I'm down for a longer ride NoCar, last week's ride left me feeling a bit guilty, like I cheated myself.

  4. I'm leaning in. I have the Pivot at the Spoke for some brake work.

  6. Feigning for an FT3, if I go much longer without one I may need to resort to alternative medications for mental health. Make me proud with a nice long ride tonight. Who knows maybe NoCar will steal some of Taco Spawn's KOMs. He's got the fever! Be careful NoCar, you could become a StravAsshole like me.

    1. I think its Bambi's turn to babysit all of the FT3 gen2 tonight. Unless he decides to join us. Just drop off the kids with him on your way up the hill.

    2. I am definitely amused by strava. But, it would be tough to steal a KOM from a Ride Leader. Newb might try, he's racy like that.

  8. An unfortunate reality of tonight is that I am out. The wife's working on a deadline and I'm holding down the fort. Have fun ride hard.

    3. Do you have to actually attend FT3 rides to get invited to big Sunday cross rides? What is going down?

    4. You need to skip the 30 minute criterium and podium spoils and ride for 3+ hours with your buds.
