Tis the Season to be a Cyclist

Hola compadres de FT3. I hope this Tuesday finds you well and happy with sore legs that are ready for another pounding.
The combination of excellent weather and trail conditions is not to be missed. The Tour of California has begun, the Motherlode Century is this weekend, BMX is happening every weekend, plans are being made for epic adventure's...'tis the season to be un cycliste'!! Since I cannot make tonight's ride (working...) I would like to use this call out to see if there is any interest in doing the epic Coloma - El Dorado Hills - El Dorado Trail loop this Friday night??? Green Fro and I are in so far, any other takers?? Start time will be 5:15pm at the Mosquito lot and finish time is TBD!

  1. It's hard to recognize you Captain in that video above but great job staying in the front of the pack! I'm most likely out this Friday but if I clear up my schedule, there is a possibility that I could ride on Friday. The weather tonight indeed is supposed to be great. High of 79, low of 52 in Pollywood.

    One!

  2. Hard to say...
I've got a big work day, and haven't assembled the riding gear. So, I will probably be too late to ride. In which case I will do a taco roll up.

Definitely out for friday. I'm scheduled for oral surgery that morning.

  3. Two!

BMX looks fun, but air time and doubles always present the possibility of carnage. I propose table tops only for the new RG back yard pump track.

Coming off a great weekend of Gran Fondo w/Frank P. of CytoSport, old friends and some new ones. Only 75 miles, but went deep trying to stay with lead group on mass start; paid dearly on 15%+ sections and later in the ride. Rounded out the weekend with Debbie's awesome 50th B-Day present with a ride in a WWII fighter trainer - GoPro footage pending.

I plan on riding the Mother Lode Century, at least 67 miles of it. Not sure I want to/can go deep Friday and Sunday. Plus, National MX opener at Hangtown is Saturday; anyone want to check out the moto warriors?

RG, you mean Three and I mean Four (Quatro - RG, that means four just like Dos means two as in Dos Tacos or Dos Cayotes or Dos Amigos)

  5. When FT3 gets its own frat house we should have a trophy case filled with all of our bicycle parts that have suffered catastrophic failures.

  6. Hey - I know how to count in spanish SeƱor Sin Controlador, I was writing my reply and chiming whilst working and got squeezed out on the reply chain.

Bambi's Carbon Stumpy and Lynskey would have looked nice over the frat house fireplace.

  7. B, might need his own wing in the frat house for his busted parts. Maybe Bambi too.

Los Ciento Senior (and I mean Senior) Dios de roca.

  8. No paulblem adding the paultos to the pualst.

If there is limited ridership for this Friday, I may consider a reschedule. It seems a free ride on the Motherlode Century may have landed in my lap. If I don't ride Friday I may be able to swing a roll up with NoCar depending on how long the public meeting I have to attend goes. NoCar I will be in touch 'offline' please keep your phone handy and charged.
