The ride on Sunday was nice. Cappy, Xterric, Councilman, RG and I departed from P-town and headed down to Latrobe. At one rut in the ground somewhere between Greenstone and Motherlode, 3 riders (Cappy, c-man and I) were taken out. A parallel RR crossing prior to Motherlode proved to be too slippery for my recently installed front tire and took me out yet again. The rest of the ride went by pretty quickly especially after RG went off the front in a solo attack. When you fall off a horse, you get back on!
The rail road tracks made the move low risk. That is until I thought the crew take an early bail out point. I slowed down, had a picnic by the creek and stopped to talk to the hikers; they eventually caught up.
... and the forecasted low was not 14 degrees. It was in fact a banner Fall day. Lots of good trail and interesting vistas out there, certainly worth the minor dental repairs required from riding over a few railroad ties.
Hells yeah!!!

RG took a solo flyer off the front and he didn't get himself lost? Has that ever happened?

DeleteThe great invisible rider! Look for me!
DeleteI kind of wrecked my costume when I passed out in the bushes while wearing it on Saturday night.
DeleteOnly Mrs Cappy knows the answer to that....
ReplyDeleteThanks for the RR RR Safety.
