FTTMFTYSSFT3

First Tuesday of The Month, First Tuesday of The Year and SSFT3. Hope you can make it. Bring yer S.S. or bring your gears, just bring yourself and enjoy some more of the dry December riding we are fortunate to have before us. I will be riding up, departing Pville around 4:00pm. Those of you with lax schedules, please text me if you wish to join me. Hopefully there will be room in a vehicle for a return trip. If not, there is always the option to ride home as well.

We cyclists are always looking for the next big thing. Some of us may have already discovered it. Turns out that thing is cyclocross. None can 'splain it better than these two cool cats;

Bike commuting is cool too, apparently. I hear lots of people in Davis, Portland and even Sacramento are doing it. These guys are even doing it.

That's about enough BS for now. Jumping to important matters like commitment's to race XTerra's, Race the Divide and Cross the Darian gap, we have some training to do. Those of you with said commitments need to get some base miles in so NoCar and I are proposing the inaugural 2012 South Fork Double Cross Ride. Departure time has been set at 10:00a.m. for this Friday, January 6. Other long ride suggestions may be considered but you must be present at the taco table and committed to ride to influence those discussions. Just know the ride window is from 10:00a.m. to about 5 or 6:00p.m.

That's all for now. See some or all you homies tomorrow. First Ride of 2012, SSFT3.

Be there or be riding squares.

  2. Sounds like foot toe might be more popular than fat tire

  3. Due to last minute injury I am out.
    I got beat up by some 7 and 8 year olds on the soccer field over the weekend and have to stay off the bike now for a few days.

  4. Cappy, thanks for the xtra normal posts. Just took a few mins. to listen. We may want to correct their statement about unofficial sprints for city limit signs. I'd argue that they are very official.

  5. Indeed, I am mired in boxes and such. I am in for 4, but will be driving straight there from moving. Any help with moving small boxes in the next 2 days would be appreciated. Big stuff is done. I can take a few home if there still is a roll up crew.

  6. Last I heard from Xteric (during operation Tubeless Spot) was that he would be Foot Toeing it tonight, with a rolling accompaniment by Keds.

  7. Unless there's some super short ride, where I'm close to my car the whole time (like riding around picnic tables in a park for example), I'm out. A leash has me from venturing to far from town. If Councilman is close to town, I'm in for helping him. Councilman, please send me a back channel with time and location for help with the move. Thanks B for asking about me. I've been keeping an eye on the blog the entire day.

  9. Xteric and Keds are both in. Hey Safety, I could run around the same picnic table you ride around if you want. Let's pick one that doesn't have a lot of elevation gain!

  10. Thanks for the offer Xteric or Keds, if you're on foot, I'd have to do the same. Perhaps I could meet the group at squito lot for a proper send off. Is next week Councilman's final FT3 week?
