Ironman Info

For those of you with nothing better to do on Fathers Day except watch me suffer, here you go:

Race Starts at 7:00 PST

Live feed: Log onto www.ironmancda.com. Scroll down to Race Day coverage. I believe this link can also be found at www.ironman.com. You will use my last name in the search for athlete box. These websites have been changing with updated info as the race date approach. I am sure between the two sites, you will find the live coverage piece. You can also live stream KXLY (ABC affiliate)and pick up their coverage of the race.

"You have to wonder at times what you're doing out there. Over the years, I've give myself a thousand reasons to keep running, but it always comes back to where it started. It comes down to self satisfaction and a sense of achievement." Steve Prefontaine

Thanks for the support

Until we ride again,

  1. A humble contribution from the FT3 poet laureate, in honor of LOTB and IM CDA:

    So he marches alone
    this soldier brave,
    and travels leagues
    to mine his cave.
    And though his battle
    appears without,
    he knows at heart
    his foe is doubt.
    For somewhere in
    that single day
    so many ghosts
    and fears will play.
    And as before
    he'll take them down
    and one by one
    those fears will drown.
    For deep within
    him lay a beast
    who yearns and strives
    to have his feast.
    And on this day
    his rally cry
    shall shake the earth
    and paint the sky;
    "Go forth, my soldier
    and bear your arms,
    summon the troops
    and sound alarms!
    Through the waves
    and over land,
    aboard your steed
    go make a stand!"
    And once again
    though weary and worn,
    your travel by foot
    still littered with thorns;
    he'll speak to you
    in a voice so fine
    "There are PBR's
    at the finish line..."

  2. I'm no poet, but here you go:

Every morning a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion
    Or it will be killed.

Every morning a lion wakes up.
I knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle,
Or it will starve to death

    It doesn't matter if you're a lion
    Or a gazelle.
    When the sun comes up,
    You better start running.

The big island is calling...punch your ticket!
