H1N1FT3SOS

Well I think the Barnes family survived our brush with the bug going round. Who knows if it was indeed H1N1 but it is more fun to say it was. I think my lovely bride had the worst of it. It is amazing to realize how fast things fall apart when "Mom" gets sick. Hold on for the ride, its gonna be bumpy!

Looks like I am in for the ride. Trails still should be primed for a good ride. Preliminary counts are for a solid showing by the FT3 classic crew.

Weekend update:
NoHandle and I got in a good CX ride on Sunday. No real race practice but a solid outing on some good trails. The location and future return will be tabled for taco discussion.

Cap'n, B, and NoCar all took down the Rock Creek/Mosquito ride. Yes, three FT3 guys doing the same ride, that's right, at three different times.

Let's hope for a good night sleep with no one prayer to the porcelain god tonight.

Until we ride,
LOtB

  1. 5, for sure! With racing out of the way I just want to ride for the joy of riding. Did a fifty on sunday and made it to the podium with a third place. Both VD and Who's tyler did the race as well and had pretty solid finishes.

  3. Who's Ghost? Will he walk among us again? I know, that is a lot coming from me. Glad you are back, nice work on the podium. Should be a good showing tonight. Much to discuss and clothes to be worn.

  4. On the fence.

I'm in the office all day, and may not make it back in time; this normal work day stuff sucks!

I'll try to make it up for a short loop and tacos.

Also - Had the best ever weekend of dirt bike riding in Downieville/La Porte area. Imagine a tacky 'left lip' going up hill and down hill, all day long. :-)

  5. TBF 50 MTB Race report-

GHOST - 3rd out of 9 in the 20-29 opn category and 19th out of 112 racers overall. Finish time of 3:45:26
the course was super fast with lots of sand and short steep climbs and 12.5 miles per lap. First place racer owns a stars and stripes national jersey and is fast as hell. I am hoping to put in more time in the saddle to be at his level with a finish time of 3:20:52.

VD - 7th out of 9 in the 20-29 open category and 81 out of 112 racers overall. Finish time of 4:37:52
a solid finish with minor cramping on the last lap. This guy needs to post his GPS results! He has improved alot in the past few months.

Whos Tyler? - 8th out of 14 in singlespeed open. 72 out of 112 racers overall. Finish time of 4:26:05 a super strong finish on a ridged single and his first race ever! watch out lance, he just may take away your leadville 100 crown!
